50 g · dried leaves of Salvia rosmarinus · caffeine-free
Clean, piney and quietly awakening. Rosemary was the first plant to thrive on our Uttarakhand herb farm, and in 2017 it became our very first product: a rosemary tisane.
What the research says
Rosemary's aroma is rich in 1,8-cineole. In a study of 20 adults, higher blood levels of this compound after smelling rosemary were linked with faster, more accurate thinking. In a one-month randomised trial with university students, rosemary improved memory and sleep and lowered anxiety scores compared with placebo. It is also naturally rich in rosmarinic and carnosic acids.
Why this moment
Morning. Cortisol peaks shortly after waking. Rosemary offers alertness without adding caffeine on top of it.
Menstrual days. A clearing, caffeine-free cup for the lowest-energy days of the month.
Follicular phase. Matches rising energy and focus as oestrogen climbs.
Perimenopause and beyond. Forgetfulness and brain fog are among the most common midlife complaints. Rosemary has long been the herb of remembrance.
How to brew
1 teaspoon in 200 ml of boiling water for 5–7 minutes. Lovely with a slice of lemon.
